일본과 한국의 원작 및 리메이크 드라마에 나타난 장애관의 장애학적 고찰

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 장애학적 관점을 바탕으로 한 장애와 만성질환의 개념 차이에 관해 일본의 원작 드라마 “愛なんていらねぇよ、夏”와 한국 리메이크작 “그 겨울 바람이 분다”에 나타난 장애인관을 비교분석하였다. 분석 결과, 전반적으로 개별모델과 사회모델은 거의 같은 비율로 나타났다. 등장인물별로는 여자 주인공의 경우에는 개별모델과 사회모델이 혼재하고 있는 반면, 남자 주인공의 경우 사회모델적 시각을 일관되게 견지하고 있었다. 그러나 남자 주인공의 이같은 시각도 여자 주인공의 상태가 장애에서 질환으로 치환될 때, 장애인으로서의 정체성 존중이 아닌, 환자로서의 치유가 지상의 목적으로 전화(轉化)되었다. 본 연구에서는 또한 장애관과는 유사하면서도 상이한 질환관의 존재를 밝혀, 장애인이나 환자같은 비정상적 몸에 대한 통제가 사회관습적으로 이루어지고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 마지막으로 장애 소재 관련 TV드라마가 앞으로 지향해야 할 사회적 사명으로서, 장애인이 문화적으로 기여할 수 있는 지식과 관점 또한 분명히 존재할 수 있다는 사실의 확인과 대중매체에의 반영을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study examined the views on the visually impaired shown at the Japanese drama No Love, Summer and its remake Korean drama That Winter, The Wind Blows , based on disability studies focusing on difference of meaning between disability and chronic disease. As results, in general individual model and social model turned out to be almost the similar proportions. The views of individual model and social model of the heroine were confused but the hero consistently maintained the views of social model of disability. When the heroine s status had changed from a person with disabilities to a patient, the hero s view on the disability changed from respect of identity as the disabled to cure as a patient. Also, in this study there were views on diseases similar but different from that of disability. From this point, it was acknowledged social control toward abnormal body such as persons with disabilities or patients. Finally, as social accountability of TV drama related with disability should be pursued, it was suggested that there was recognizing of knowledge and views which disabled person could culturally contribute to society and it should be reflected toward mass media.
