국문 초록

공급업체의 차별화 관리는 기업의 경쟁력을 높이는데 중요한 사안이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 공급업체의 계층화 선정 기준과 공급업체 성과와의 관계 및 공급업체의 계층화를 통한 차별적 지원 전략과 공급업체 성과 향상과의 관계에 대한 연구는 매우 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 선정 평가에 의한 공급업체 차별적 운영이 공급업체 성과에 어떠한 영향을 주는지를 실증적으로 고찰하였다. 이를 위해 세계적인 글로벌 제조기업인 X사의 443개의 실제 공급업체 관리 데이터를 이용하여 공급업체 차별화 관리 전략의 효과성에 대해 실층 분석을 하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 공급업체 계층화 관리에 대한 실증 분석을 통해 공급업체 선정 기준, 지원 전략 및 성과 간의 인과 관계를 규명하고 계층화된 공급업체 관계 관리에 대한 새로운 실무적 방법론과 시사점을 제시하는데 있다.

영문 초록

Differentiated supplier management strategy is critical for enhancing firm competitiveness. Nonetheless, it is rare to find the studies of investigating the relationships between selection criteria for supplier segmentation and performance and between differentiated support strategy and performance improvement among segmented supplier groups. Therefore, this study intended to empirically explore the effect of supplier selection criteria on their performance and the effect of support strategy on performance improvement. To do so, we analyzed deeply the effectiveness of differentiated supplier management strategy by using 443 supplier data from a worldwide global manufacturing company X. The purpose of this study is to provide new practical methodology and insights in managing the segmented relationships among supplier selection criteria, support strategy and performance through an empirical study of segmented supplier management.
