한국 영화에 나타난 반영구 메이크업 디자인에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 2000~2010년을 기준으로 한국 영화에 나타난 반영구 메이크업 디자인의 이미지가 어떻게 변화되었는지 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2000년부터 2010년의 개봉 영화를 기준으로 영화 속 주인공들이 한 타투디자인은 주로 조폭 코믹과 흥행에 입각하여 디자인을 하였는데, 개인의 개성에 따른 타투 디자인이기보다는 영화배우의 케릭터 성격 기준에 맞춰 타투 디자인을 한 경향이 많았다. 2000년대부터 타투에 대한 인식이 부정적 이미지에서 긍정적 이미지로 의식이 변화되었는데, 이는 2002년 한일 월드컵 당시 축구선수들이 다양한 타투를 대중에게 선보이면서 타투 문화의 소비가 증가하게 되었다. 2000년 이후 대중문화를 통해 타투 디자인이 대중에게 익숙한 문화로 자리 잡으면서 영화배우, 음악인, 운동선수, 일반인, 의료인 등 다양한 직업군에게서 선호하기 시작하였다. 또 그 유형으로는 반영구 메이크업, 패션 타투, 메디컬 타투 등으로 나타났고 다양한 분야에서 그 필요성과 함께 발전되어 왔다. 본 연구를 진행하면서 다음의 한계를 갖기에 본 연구자는 다음과 같이 제언하고자 한다. 첫째, 타투는 일반적인 스킨에 시술하고 닦아 내는 형식의 뷰티가 아닌 메디컬 뷰티로서 특수성을 지니고 있기 때문에 시술자의 전문성이 요구된다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 현재 이에 대한 관련 법규와 제도적 마련에 어려움이 있어 메디컬 뷰티의 발전 가능성에 한계가 있다. 시술자의 자격 요건과 시술 방법 및 범위 등 세부적인 기준을 마련하고 안전한 시술을 받을 수 있는 실질적인 관련 제도화가 필요하다. 이는 관련 학문의 연구에서도 함께 이루어져야 할 것이라 사료된다. 둘째, 디자인학에서 바라봤을 때 향후 이를 위해서는 시술자의 전문성을 함양하기 위한 체계적인 학습과 함께 메디컬 뷰티 디자인 프로그램 개발과 타투 디자인 연구도 함께 진행되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study attempted to investigate the changes in the semi-permanent makeup styles in Korean movies from 2000 to 2010 and found the following: First, tattoos in movies from 2000 to 2010 were mostly created for mob comedies and box office hits. Specifically, it was common to make tattoos according to the movie characters’ type, not on individual personality. Since 2000, people’s views on tattoos have shifted from negative to positive. During the 2002 FIFA World Cup, soccer stars’ various tattoos were exposed, and tattoo application has risen from that point. As tattoos have become more common amongst the general public, people from various occupations, such as movie stars, musicians, athletes, and medical practitioners, have started to get tattoos. In terms of type, tattoos include semi-permanent makeup, fashion tattoos, and medical tattoos. The tattoo industry has grown and expanded in various fields. The limitations of the tattoo industry and the suggestions given in this study are as follows: First, since tattooing is a medical aesthetic practice, not just a conventional aesthetic practice, particular expertise is required. At present, however, there are some difficulties in establishing related rules, laws, and systems. Therefore, the tattoo industry cannot completely evolve into a true medical aesthetic industry. In other words, it is required to develop specific standards, such as tattooist qualifications and tattooing methods & scope, and establish systems to ensure safe tattooing services. Academic research is also required. Second, from the perspective of design research, it is also necessary to develop medical aesthetic design programs and promote tattoo studies as well as systematic learning to help tattooists develop their competencies.
