교실에서의 자리 배치와 자리 위치 선호도, 창의적 사고 간의 관계 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 교실의 자리 배치라는 환경적 요인과 자리 선호도라는 개인적 요인이 창의적 사고에 미치는 영향을 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 경기도, 서울 소재의 초등학교 고학년 237명이 실험에 참여하였으며, 연구 참여자들은 온라인 상황에서 시험대형, 모둠대형, U자 중심대형의 세 가지 교실 자리 배치에 무작위로 배정되었다. 통제 변인으로 창의적 성향을 측정하였으며, 주요 변인으로는 자리 배치와 선호하는 자리 위치에 따른 창의적 사고를 측정하였다. 연구결과, U자중심대형이 모둠대형보다 높은 아이디어 생성력을 보였다. 또한, 교실의 뒷자리를 선호한 집단에서, U자중심대형이 시험대형, 모둠대형보다 높은 원격연합력을 보였다. 이와 같은 결과는 교실의 자리 배치에 따른 공간적 특성과 개인적 특성이 창의적 사고, 특히 아이디어 생성력과 원격연합력에 유의미한 영향을 미친 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 따라서, 본 연구는 학교 현장에서 교사는 다양한 자리 배치와 학생들의 개인적 특성을 활용하여 교실 내에서 한 가지의 자리 배치만을 고수할 것이 아니라 다양한 자리의 변화를 시도해야 할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to check the effect of classroom seating arrangement on creative thinking moderated by seating preference. This study identified the effects of environmental factors as classroom seating arrangement and personal factors as seating preference on creative thinking by interacting. 237 senior elementary school students participated, and research participants were randomly assigned to three classroom positions: Rows and Columns, Cluster, and U-shaped. As a result of one-way ANOVA, U-shaped formation showed a higher level of creative thinking than the cluster formation. As a result of two-way ANOVA, In groups that preferred the back seats, the U-shaped formation showed a higher level of creative thinking than the Rows, Columns and Cluster. These results can be interpreted as having a partially significant effect on creative thinking by the spatial and personal characteristics of the classroom seating arrangement. The results of this study were meaningful in that it verified the easy-to-change seating arrangement of students and teachers, classrooms can be creative enough.
