국문 초록

도시 내 위치한 제조업은 고도의 분업과 밀집화를 통하여 기업 경쟁력을 확보하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 서울시 사례를 중심으로 서울시 특정 지역에 집적되어 있는 의류/봉제, 인쇄, 전자부품 산업을 선정하고 각 업종별 공급사슬 특징 및 성과의 관계를 고찰하여 이러한 집적이 기업의 경쟁력 향상에 기여하는지를 살펴보고자 한다. 서울연구원에서 2016년 실시한 서울 주요 제조업 실태조사 자료에서 서울 내 특정 지역의 밀집도가 높게 나타나는 주요 산업(의료/봉제, 인쇄, 전자부품산업)을 선정하여 각 업종별 규모, 생산방식, 주요고객, 고객과의 근접성, 공급자와의 근접성, 하청업체와의 근접성, 경쟁자와의 근접성, 사업경쟁력, 입지결정 요인에 관하여 교차분석과 분산분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 업종에 따라 인근 지역내 공급사슬 밀집도가 차이가 있었고 , 밀집 정도에 따른 기업경쟁우위도 상이한 것으로 나타났다. 공급사슬 상 공급사와의 근접성과 밀집성이 인쇄업 기업들이 시장에서의 대응성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이들은 소규모 기업으로 지역 내 집적과 고도의 분업화를 활용한 지역기반의 공급사슬시스템을 구축하여 시장 수요의 변동에 신속하고 유연하게 대응할 수 있는 경쟁우위를 확보한 것으로 사료된다.

영문 초록

The survival strategy of the manufacturing industry located in the city is securing corporate competitiveness through advanced division of labor and concentration. In this study, focusing on the case of Seoul, the apparel/sewing, printing, and electronic parts industries accumulated in a specific area in Seoul were selected, and the relationship between the supply chain characteristics and supply chain performance of each industry was examined. In 2016, the Seoul Institute conducted a survey of major manufacturing industries in Seoul, and identified the major industries that show high density in specific areas in Seoul. In this study, we adopted several variables such as production method, major customers, and proximity to customers, proximity to suppliers and proximity to subcontractors. Cross-tabulations and Anova were conducted. As a result of the analysis, it was found that there was a difference in density with the companies constituting the regional supply chain according to the type of industry, and accordingly, the corporate performance was also different. In the case of the printing industry, the average size of companies is smaller than that of other industries and the geographical proximity of the supply chain is the highest. It appears that their main competitive advantage is responsiveness. It is inferred that they operate small-sized companies to survive, but operate companies based on competitive advantage that can respond quickly and flexibly to fluctuations in market demand through regional integration and high division of labor.
