다문화 청소년의 비행 원인에 대한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 사회통제이론과 일상활동이론을 통해 다문화 청소년의 비행에 영향을 미치는 요인을 검증하고자 하였다. 구체적으로 분석 대상을 초등학생과 중·고등학생의 두 집단으로 구분하여, 사회통제요인인 애착, 관여, 참여, 신념과 기회요인인 비행친구, 비구조화된 활동이 비행에 미치는 영향에 어떠한 차이가 있는지 분석하였다. 분석 방법의 경우 종속변수(비행)의 특징을 고려하여 음이항 회귀분석을 활용하였다. 분석결과, 초등학생 집단에서는 관여와 참여 그리고 비행피해가 비행에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에, 중·고등학생 집단에서는 애착, 비행친구, 비구조화된 활동, 성별, 연령, 비행피해, 한국태생, 한국어 능력이 비행에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 주었다. 구체적으로, 초등학생 집단의 경우관여와 참여의 정도가 높을수록 비행을 저지를 가능성이 낮아졌고, 비행피해를 당한사람은 그렇지 않은 사람에 비해 비행을 저지를 가능성이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 중·고등학생 집단의 경우 애착의 정도가 높을수록 비행을 저지를 가능성이 낮아졌고, 비행친구가 많을수록, 비구조화된 활동의 정도가 높을수록 비행을 저지를 가능성이 높아졌다. 비행피해의 효과는 초등학생 집단과 같았다. 본 연구의 결론에서는 이러한 결과들에 대한 설명과 해석 그리고 정책의 시사점에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explain the factors affecting the delinquency of multi-cultural youths through an integrated model of social control theory and Routine Activity Theory. Specifically, the analysis targets were divided into two groups: elementary school students and middle and high school students, and the differences in the impact of social control factors(attachment, commitment, involvement, belief) and opportunity factors, (delinquent peer, unstructured activities) on delinquency were analyzed. For the analysis method, negative binomial regression was used to consider the characteristics of the dependent variables(delinquency). Results showed that commitment, involvement and victimization have statistically significant effects on delinquency in elementary school groups. On the other hand, attachment, delinquent peer, unstructured activities, gender, age, victimization, Korean-born, and Korean language skills have had statistically significant effects on delinquency in middle and high school students. Specifically, in the case of elementary school students, the higher the degree of commitment and involvement, the less likely they are to commit a delinquency. and Those who were victimized are more likely to commit a delinquency than those who are not. In the case of middle and high school student groups, the higher the degree of attachment, the lower the likelihood of delinquency, and the higher the degree of unstructured activity and delinquent peer, the more likely it is to delinquency. The effect of victimization was the same as that of elementary school students. Based on these results, policy suggestions and implications for future research was discussed in conclusion.
