『선차록(禪茶錄)』의 유·불·도(儒·佛·道) 수행법과 차도의 유기적 관련성

국문 초록

본고에서 『선차록(禪茶錄)』에 나타난 유·불·도 삼교의 수행과 차도가 어떠한 관련성을 형성하고 있는지 살펴보았는데, 그 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 『선차록』에 나타난 에도시대의 유교는 경(敬)의 함양과 성찰을위한 수양법으로 정좌(靜坐)를 중요시했다. 정좌는 경을 확립하기 위한 주일무적(主一無適)의 수양법으로 파악되었는데, 이것은 곧 마음·몸·일의 세 가지가 일체적으로 작용한다는 것을 의미하였다. 불교의 경우, 종파를초월한 대표적인 수행법으로 나타나는 좌선(坐禪)이 마음과 대상이 하나가 되는 일심(一心)의 핵심적 수행법임을 고찰했다. 유교와 불교 수행의 핵심인 주일무적과 일심은『선차록』에서 차사를 통해 마음의 본성을 관하는수행의 토대로 확립되었다. 도교는 무위적 사유가 『선차록』의 정서에 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 삼교 수행의 분석을 통해 『선차록』에 나타난 차기(茶器)를 다루는 점차수행(點茶修行)이 유교의 정좌와 불교의 좌선 사이에서 접점을 형성하고 있으며 도교수련과도 밀접한 관련이 있다는 것을 밝혀냈다.

영문 초록

The results of the study on the relationship between the training of the three religions, and the Chado(tea ceremony) shown in Zencharoku in the present study are as follows. The Confucianism of the Edo period shown in Zencharoku valued “Jing zuo(sitting in meditation)” as a training for the cultivation and introspection of “gyeong.” Jing zuo was identified as the ‘one mind’ method of training to establish‘gyeong’. This means that three things, the mind, body, and work, action together, along with ‘work’. In the case of Buddhism, “Zuo chan(sitting in Zen meditation),” which appears as a representative training that transcends sects, was considered to be the key training of “one mind” in which the mind and the object become one. One mind, the core of Confucian and Buddhist training, was established as the basis for practicing the nature of the mind through Chado in Zencharoku. In the case of Taoism, the reason for idleness was suitable for the sentiment of Zencharoku. It has been established that the Dencha training of pottery handling in Zencharoku forms a point of contact between Confucianism s Jing zuo and Buddhism s Zuo Chan, and it is also closely related to the Taoist training.
