국가 지도자가 가져야 할 성품의 리더십

국문 초록

국가 지도자가 인간적으로 가져야할 기본적 성품의 덕은 정의, 정직, 신뢰, 겸허, 사랑이다. 이 5가지 덕은 서로 분리되는 것이 아니라 한 인격 안에서 연결되어 있다. 조지 워싱턴은 정의로운 삶을 보여준 지도자였다. 박근혜의 자폐성향은 비선실세의 국정 농단을 초래하였다. 워싱턴은 정직은 항상 최고의 정책 이라는 신념으로 살았다. 레이건은 단지 말을 잘해서가 아니라 그의 진정성이 국민들에게 감동을 주었다. 박근혜 대통령의 파면 이유는 최순실 국정 개입 사실을 숨기고 법 질서를 무시했던 점 이었다. 구약의 다니엘과 미국 워싱턴은 자기 정체성이 한결 같은 신뢰의 리더십을 보여주었다. 워싱턴은 대통령직을 연임한 후 은퇴를 실천한 겸허의 리더십을 보여주었다. 요셉은 자기를 판 형들을 용서하므로, 링컨은 노예를 해방하므로 인자의 리더십을 보여주었다. 지도력에 필요한 성품의 덕은 섬김, 책임감, 통합, 지혜, 소통이다. 구약의 에스더는 순국정신을 가진 섬김의 리더십을, 조선말 이회영 형제는 순국 희생의 리더십을, 미국의 카터도 섬김의 리더십을 보여주었다. 워싱턴과 이승만은 책임감(용기)의 리더십을, 링컨은 통합(관용)의 리더십을 보여주었다. 링컨과 레이건은 신념과 지혜의 리더십을, 레이건은 소통 리더십을 잘 보여주었다. 인류 역사상 가장 모범적 지도자는 나사렛 예수다. 그는 섬김의 리더십의 모든 덕성을 갖춘 지도자였다. 그에게는 정의, 정직, 신뢰, 겸허, 사랑, 섬김, 책임감, 통합, 지혜, 소통이 응집되었다. 세상 지도자는 파편적으로 주어진 은사를 가지고 섬긴다. 지도자란 하늘에서 떨어진 완성품이 아니라 그를 아끼고 약점을 덮어주고 새 기회를 주는 국민들에 의하여 만들어진다.

영문 초록

The virtures of character a leader of the nation has to possess are justice, honesty, trust, humility and love. These five virtures are not separated but interconnected with each other in one personality. George Washingon were a leader who showed the just life. An autistic character of Park, Keunhae caused the monololy of national politics by the confidential influential persons. Washington lived in a belief that honesty is the best policy. Ronald Reagan did not just speak well, but his sincerity impressed the people. The reason for the dismissal of Park was that she hided the fact of interference of confidential influential persons and disregarded legal orders. Daniel in O.T. and Washington in USA consistently showed the leadership of trust. Washington showed a leadership of humility of practicing the retirement after having served the consecutive terms. Joseph in O. T. forgave brothers who sold him, Abraham Lincoln liberated slaves. So, they showed the leadership of charity. The virtures of character needed for the leadership are serving, responsibility, integrity, wisdom and communication. Esther in O.T. showed the leadership of serving with sacrificial spirit for nation, the brothers of Lee, Heoyoung at the end of Chosun the one of the sacrificial spirit, Jimmy Carter in USA the one of serving. George Washington and Lee, SeungMan the leadership of responsibility(courage), Ronald Reagan the one of the integration(tolerance). Abraham Lincoln and Reagan the leadership of belief and wisdom, Reagan the one of the communication as well. The most exemplary leader in the history had been Jesus of Nazareth. He was the only leader equipped with all virtures for the leadership of servant. Justice, honesty, trust, humility, love, serving, responsibilitym integration, wisdom, communication were fused in his character. Worldly leader serve with the fragmentary charisma. A leader is not a complete person who falls down from heaven, He is made by the people who love him, cover his weak points, give him a new chance.
