포스트모던 시대 속에서 늙어감의 의미

국문 초록

대한민국은 2017년부터 사상 처음으로 65세 이상 노인 인구가 어린이 인구를 추월하는 인구지진(Age-quake) 현상에 봉착할 것으로 전망된다. 전통적 가치와 진리가 붕괴하고 진리와 비진리가 혼돈되어가고 있는 포스트모던 사회 속에서 오랜 삶을 살아온 노년층의 존재와 가치는 가정과 기관과 사회의 보존과 새로운 방향정향을 위하여 더욱 절실하다. 솔로몬과 박녹주가 인생의 늙어감에 대하여 노래함 같이 늙어감이란 인간에게 주어진 하나님의 일반은총이다. 인생의 늙어감에 대한 한로가(恨老歌)는 빈부귀천을 막론하고 모든 인생에게 다가오는 늙어감, 죽음 이후의 절대적 단절, 내세 소망없는 현세적 연락(宴樂) 추구: 철저한 현세 연락주의를 노래하고 있다. 한로가의 한계는 죽음을 현상적으로 생물학적 의미에서만 보고 허망하고 고통스럽고 절망스러운 것으로 보는 것이다. 유교에서는 노년을 자기 수양과 사회기여를 위한 지속적 인격수양과정으로 보고, 늙어감을 인생과 진리에 합일하고 지혜를 삶과 사회에 구현하는 인격의 성장 과정으로 본다. 중 노년기가 되면 특히 친밀한 관계의 수준과 사회적 지지망(Social Support Network)의 정도가 삶의 질을 좌우한다. 사회적 경험과 전문적 지식을 가진 기독인 노년층은 시니어 선교의 사명을 감당할 수 있다: “삶을 원하거든 준음을 준비하라”(Si vis vitam, para mortem). 늙어감의 긍정적 의미는 다섯가지로 파악될 수 있다: 1) 늙어감이란 과정적 존재인 인간의 자연적 본질을 드러낸다. 2) 인간의 늙어감은 본래적 존재의 상태가 아니었다. 3) 인간은 본래 영생하도록(늙지 않고 항상 새로워짐) 지음을 받았다. 4) 인생의 길은 옛 에온의 길로서 그리스도 안에서 주어진 새 에온의 길를 향하여 열린다. 5) 우주와 인생의 목적론적 과정은 예수 그리스도 안에서 다가오는 하나님의 나라다. 구약의 전도서는 노년 삶의 지혜인 유신론적 비관적 실재주의 인생관를 제시해준다. 늙어감이란 넓은 의미에서 하나님이 운행하시는 우주적 삶의 한 과정이요, 죽음이라는 삶의 마지막 성장 단계를 거쳐 영생을 소망으로 바라보게하는 존재적 내지 인식적 계기다.

영문 초록

Korea is expected to face the phenomenon of Age-quake that the people of the aged over 60 years surpass that of the children firstly from the 2017 in the history. In the postmodern society in which traditonal value and truth have collapsed, and truth & untruth have been mixing, the existence and value of the aged are necessary for the preservation of the family, organization and society and their new orientation. As Solomon, king of Israel and NokJoo Park sang a song of getting old of the aged, getting old is a common grace of God. The song of regretting getting old has depicted getting old of all humans, whoever rich, poor, high or low class, the absolute cutting off after death, and the search for the worldly pleasure without otherworldly hope. Its limitation is to see death as suffering and disappointing in the phenomenal and biological sense. In the conficianism one sees old age as continual person cultivation process for the self training and social contribution, getting old as the growth process to be united with life and truth, and to embody wisdom in the life and society. In the middle-and old age the quality of life depends on the degree of Intermediate relation level & Social Support Network. Christian senior class who possesses social experience and professional knowledge is qualified to the mission of senior evangelism: if one wishes life, prepare death. (Si vis vitam, para mortem). The positive significance of getting old is to be grasped in the five sense. 1) Getting old reveals natural essense of human as process being. 2) Getting old was not original state of human. 3) Human was made to live eternally. 4) The way of life opens as the way of old eon(age) toward the way of new eon given in Jesus Christ. 5) The teleological process of life and cosmos is the Kingdom of God to come in Jesus Christ. The Ecclesiaster of the Old Testament suggests a theistic pessimistic realism that is the wisdom of the old life. Getting old is a process of cosmic life God governs in the broad sense, is ontic or epistemal moment to help to see eternal life through death as last step of life. The aged class has a mission to play a role of balancing pendulum to keep conservative values in the postmodern age when traditional values such as preservation of family, sex, values and truth have been collapsed.
