영문 초록

Objectives : In this study, the anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant effects of MOK Yakchim was were investigated. Mothods : We investigate the anti-oxidative effect of MOK Yakchim by the free radical scavenging effect of material itself by DPPH assay. Cyclooxygenase-2, tumor necrosis factor-α and interleukin-6 were measured to investigate the anti-inflammatory effect of MOK Yakchim. Results : MOK Yakchim showed high anti-oxidative effect compared with butyl hydroxyanisole, and also showed anti-inflammatory effect by inhibiting the production of cyclooxygenase-2, tumor necrosis factor-α and interleukin-6. Conclusions : These results suggest that MOK Yakchim might be a potential anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory therapeutic agent. Further investigation including exact mechanisms should be needed.
