만3, 4세 유아의 자유선택활동 놀이가입에서 나타나는 친사회적 행동 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 만3, 4세 유아의 자유선택활동시간의 놀이가입 상황에서 나타나는 친사회적 행동을 탐색하고 연령간 행동 양상의 차이가 있는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울시에 위치한 두 유치원의 만3, 4세 두 학급에서 만3, 4세 유아 각각22명씩 총 44명을 대상으로 2018년 9월부터 2019년 2월까지 참여관찰을 실시하고이를 분석하였다. 나타난 결과는 첫째, 배회하기, 참여시도하기, 전환하기의 놀이가입행동을 하는 유아들은 기다리기, 적절하게 표현하기, 함께 놀이하기, 협상하기의 친사회적 행동을 보였고, 놀이가입을 허용하는 유아들은 감정 이해하기, 도와주기, 양보하기, 나누기, 배려하기, 함께 놀이하기, 협상하기 행동을 보였다. 둘째, 만3, 4세 유아들의 놀이가입 시 나타나는 친사회적 행동에 대한 차이를 살펴보면 배회하기, 참여시도하기, 전환하기 등의 놀이가입 상황에 따른 친사회적 행동의 표현들은 유사하게 나타났으나 부분적으로 차이를 보였다. 놀이가입 행동 범주에 따라 분석된 친사회적 행동의 특성을 연령과 놀이 맥락을 중심으로 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore prosocial behaviors of 3 and 4-year-old in their play entry during free play in kindergartens and examine the characteristics of prosocial behavior by age. A total of 44 children, 22 each of 3 and 4-year-old, in two classes of two kindergartens located in Seoul were observed in natural classroom settings. The results were as follows: First, the children who participated in the play-joining behaviors of wandering, trying to participate, and converting showed prosocial behaviors of waiting, expressing properly, playing together, and negotiating. The children who let the friend join the play showed prosocial behaviors of understanding, helping, yielding, sharing, caring, playing together, and negotiating. Second, the age differences in prosocial behavior of 3 and 4-year-old when they join the play group, expressions of prosocial behavior according to the situation of play-joining such as wandering, trying to participate, and converting are similar, but partially showed the difference. The characteristics of prosocial behavior analyzed according to the play-joining behavior category were discussed focusing on age and play context.
