국문 초록

통계학과 전자계산학은 학문적으로는 그렇게 연관이 많은 학문은 아니다. 그러나 사회에서 사용하는 관점에서 볼 때, 정보통계분석기술(statistical information analytic technology)과 정보관리처리기술(information management processing technology)은 매우 밀접한 관계를 가지고 있다. 따라서 정보와 자료가 범람하는 이 시대에서 부가가치 높은 정보를 창출하고 즉각적인 결정을 위해서는 이 두 기술을 결합한 통계정보기술(statistical information technology; SIT)의 출현은 필연적이다. 본 논문은 먼저 급속히 발달되고 있는 정보사회에서 필요한 SIT를 정의하고 그 필요성에 대해서 논한 다음 SIT의 사회적 역할과 장래 그리고 SIT교육을 연구한 논문이다. 본 연구에서는 대학 SIT 교육의 전반적인 상황과 문제점 그리고 앞으로의 방향 등에 대한 고찰을 통하여 정보사회가 요구하는 SIT기술에 대한 교육의 목표를 설정하고 이에 따르는 교과과정과 교육방법을 제시한다.

영문 초록

Scientifically, statistics and computer science are not associated. But the statistical information analytic technology is influential to the information management processing technology, in a view point of their usage. Hence, we need to combine these technologies for the valuable information and immediate decision. In this paper, the SIT (statistical information technology) is defined and its necessity is explained. Next, the social role and future of SIT are studied. After the educational problems of college statistics are introduced, we compromise that SIT is the alternative, because it can activate the statistical technology and is helpful in our world. Finally, the course of SIT in college is proposed and we suggest and how to educate SIT.
