국문 초록

본 연구는 새로운 블루오션으로 부상하고 있는 할랄 산업을 이해하기 위해 할랄 인증 제도와 국내 기업의 활동 탐색, 그리고 말레이시아 할랄 식품시장과 관련한 사례 개발을 목표로 한다. 본 논문은 다양한 문헌의 2차 자료와 말레이시아 소비자 대상으로 할랄 식품에 관한 설문조사를 통해 두 개의 사례를 제시하였다. 첫 번째 사례는 할랄 산업의 주요 인증 제도와 국내 할랄 기업의 사례를 제시하고 있다. 두 번째 사례는 말레이시아 할랄 식품시장과 현지 소비자들의 할랄, 한국 및 한류에 대한 인지도와 태도에 관한 것으로 본 사례는 현지 소비자들의 할랄 식품 구매에 있어 안전성과 신뢰성 차원에서 할랄 인증의 중요함을 보여준다. 제시한 복수 사례는 할랄 산업에 대한 이해 수준을 제고시키고, 국내 식품기업의 할랄 시장 진출과 관련한 전략수립에 유용한 정보를 제공한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the Halal certification system and the activities of domestic companies in the halal industry. Also, the study aims to develop multiple cases related to Malaysia s halal food market. We collected secondary data through various literature, and conducted a survey of Malaysian consumers to develop the cases. The first case presents the major certification system of the halal industry and the Korean companies halal business practices. The second case shows the landscape of the Malaysian halal food market and local consumers awareness and attitudes toward halal and the country of Korea. Two cases illustrate the emerging halal economies and business opportunities, and the importance of halal certification in terms of safety and reliability in the purchase of halal food by Malaysian consumers. Our exploratory case study offers useful information about the understanding of the halal industry and implications of the halal market development strategies for Korean companies.
