영문 초록

Objectives: The purpose of this study is verify the effectiveness of ‘tangram program’, one of group form cognitive rehabilitation programs available for seniors with mild cognitive impairment, in maintaining or improving cognitive function for research subjects, and furthermore, enhance activities of daily living and quality of life and in reducing social costs associated with dementia. Method: To achieve this, a quasi-experiment research of ‘control group before and after comparison’ was designed for 20 seniors with mild cognitive impairment admitted to regional psychiatric hospitals. Results: When tested seniors with mild cognitive impairment with CERAD-K after providing the tangram program, it was disclosed that the program was effective in the experimental group, as the result of the test maintained or improved. Conclusions: It is expected that the results of this study, obtained from providing tangram program to seniors with mild cognitive impairment and verifying its effectiveness via CERAD-K, will serve as base data for opening a new possibility for continual development of cognitive rehabilitation programs, and at the same time, maintain and improve cognitive functions for seniors diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment and reduce corresponding social costs.
