영문 초록

This research evaluates the competitiveness of tourism cluster in An Giang province, Vietnam by applying the diamond model of Michael E. Porter. The analysis includes findings of (i) factor or input conditions, (ii) demand conditions, (iii) related and supporting industry, and, (iv) context for firm strategy and rivalry. The analyzed model shows that the tourism sector in An Giang duplicates the offering of other destinations, and the spiritual tourists make up a majority of tourists. Also, the tourism in An Giang targets the low end of the market, and competition in the tourism sector is mostly price - based completion. Therefore, the research recommends that the local government should improve the business environment bye enhanced infrastructure, education and promotional campaigns.
