국문 초록

탈북민 한국어 방언 연구는 화행의 특징을 밝히는 데 집중되어 있는데 대체로 남과 북사이의 비교 문화적 관점에서 설문을 통해 수행되어 왔다. 그 내용은 탈북민은 직접 요청과 거절을 선호하고 간접 화행을 덜 사용하며 사과, 감사, 칭찬을 부담스러워 하고 잘 표현하지 않는 것으로 정리된다. 이러한 탈북민 화행 연구 내용을 바탕으로 탈북민 방언의 거시화용론적 평가와 대안을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 그동안 주로 비교 화용론적 입장에서 연구되어 온 탈북민의 방언사용 문제는 권력의 불평등과 남북 관계 갈등에서 오는 남한 사회의 문제’ 측면에서 접근하려는 노력이 보완되어야 한다. 둘째, 언어적 차이는 집단 간만 아니라 동일한 개인에게 있어서도 일반적이므로 다름에만 집중하기보다는 상호작용의 성공과 갈등 현장을 보여주는 일에도 관심을 기울여야 한다.

영문 초록

The research on the Korean dialect of the North Korean migrants has focused on illuminating the characteristics of the speech act, and has been conducted through the questionnaire from the perspective of comparative culture between the South and the North. The content is that the migrants prefer direct requests and refusals, use less indirect speech acts and do not express apology, thanking, or praise. Based on the results, This paper proposes a macro-pragmatic evaluation and alternatives of the migrants’ dialect as follows. First, the problem of using the dialect of the migrants, which have been mainly studied in the comparative pragmatic perspective, should be complemented with efforts to approach the issue of South Korean society coming from the inequality of power and the conflict between the two Koreas. Second, the linguistic difference is common to the same individual as well as to the group. Therefore, attention should be paid not only to the difference but also to the display of the success and conflict scenes of the interaction.
