전환비용이 공급사슬의 전략ㆍ운영적 통합에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 공급사슬 상의 1차 공급사에 위치한 중소 제조기업의 관점에서 새로운 공급사를 찾고자 할 때, 발생하는 전환 비용과 공급사슬의 전략적 통합과 운영적 통합의 관계를 파악하고자 하였다. 보다 구체적으로, 제조업 생산성 패널조사를 활용하여 전환비용이 공급사슬의 전략적 통합과 운영적 통합에 미치는 영향력 뿐 아니라 전략적 통합이 운영적 통합에 미치는 영향력도 살펴보고자 하였다. 아울러, 1차 공급사에 위치한 중소 제조기업이 인식한 2차 공급사의 기회주의적 성향이 전환비용과 전략적 통합, 전환비용과 운영적 통합에 미치는 영향력의 관계에서 기회주의 변수의 조절적인 역할에 대해 분석하고자 하였다. 연구결과, 전환비용은 전략적 통합과 운영적 통합에 정(+)의 영향력을 미칠 것이라는 가설이 채택되었고, 전환비용이 통제된 상태에서 전략적 통합이 운영적 통합에 정(+)의 영향력을 미칠 것이라는 가설이 채택되었다. 마지막으로, 1차 공급사에 위치한 중소 제조기업이 인식한 2차 공급사의 기회주의적 성향은 전환비용과 전략적 통합 간의 정(+)의 관계와 전환비용과 운영적 통합 간의 정(+)의 관계에 조절효과가 있음을 실증적으로 확인하였다. 이러한 연구결과는, 기업과 소비자 간의 거래에서 많이 활용되어진 전환비용을 기업 간의 거래에 적용하여 전환비용의 새로운 역할을 재조명함과 동시에 기존 연구와 달리 공급사슬 상의 1차 공급사에 위치한 중소 제조기업을 분석대상으로 진행하여 기존 연구를 확장했다는 점에 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to understand the relationship among switching costs, strategic integration, and operational integration of supply chains from the internal perspective of small and medium enterprises, which are the primary suppliers on supply chains. More specifically, we sought to understand not only the impact of switching costs on the strategic integration and operational integration of supply chains, but also the impact of strategic integration on operational integration by utilizing manufacturing productivity panel surveys. Additionally, the moderating role of an opportunism was analyzed in relation to the influence on i) switching costs and strategic integration, ii) switching costs and operational integration by SMEs acting as primary suppliers. This study is meaningful in that switching costs, which have been utilized extensively in transactions between the firm and the consumer, have been applied to the transactions between the firms. This study also highlights the new role of the switching costs, while expanding the existing research by conducting analyses on SMEs located in primary suppliers in the supply chain.
