DEA모형을 활용한 국내 해운항공기업의 정태적․동태적 효율성 분석

국문 초록

우리 경제에서 무역이 차지하는 비중은 높고, 물류는 무역에 없어서 안 될 주요 요소이다. 본 연구에서는 우리나라 물류 기업 중 해운항공기업의 정태적 효율성(Static Efficiency)과 동태적 효율성(Dynamic Efficiency)을 분석한다. 이를 위하여 자료포락분석(Data Envelopment Analysis)모형과 Window모형을 활용하고, 2013년부터 2017년까지 총 5개 년동안 매출액 기준 상위 50개 국내 해운항공기업의 효율성을 분석한다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 1)기술 및 규모 효율성 측면에서 효율적 프론티어에 존재하는 해운항공기업의 수는 2013년(6개), 2014년(6개), 2015년(5개), 2016년(2개), 그리고 2017년(6개)로 분석되었다. 2)순수 기술 효율성 측면에서 효율적 프론티어에 존재하는 해운항공기업의 수는 2013년(10개), 2014년(11개), 2015년(10개), 2016년(9개), 그리고 2017년(16개)로 분석되었다. 3)모든 기업들의 순수 기술 효율성 값은 0.75 이상으로 상당히 높은 수준으로 파악되었다. 4)2013년부터 2017년까지 5개년동안 효율성이 상승하는 기업들은 6개로 분석되었다. 5)효율성이 하락한 기업들은 28개이고, 대부분 매출액이 상위권에 속하는 기업들 이다. 6)동태적 효율성 변동 분석에 따라 최근 5년 동안 국내 해운항공기업 중에서 50% 이상의 기업들이 효율성 측면에서 하락세의 어려움을 겪고 있었다는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 본 연구 결과는 국내 해운항공산업의 이해관계자들에게 기업 경영의 전략을 수립하고, 물류분야의 기업 및 산업을 발전시키기 위한 계획 수립단계에서 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있다.

영문 초록

Trade plays a crucial role in Korean economy, and logistics is a major factor in trade. In this study, we analyze the static and dynamic efficiency of shipping and airline companies among Korean logistics companies. We use the DEA and Window models to analyze the efficiency of the top 50 domestic companies based on sales for five years from 2013 to 2017. Our results are as follows: 1) In terms of technical and scale efficiency, the number of companies that exist in the efficient frontier is 6, 6, 5, 2, and 6 during 2013-2017, respectively; 2) In terms of pure technical efficiency, the number of companies that exist in the efficient frontier is 10, 11, 10, 9, and 16 during 2013-2017, respectively; 3) The pure technical efficiency value of all companies is over 0.75, which is significantly high; 4) Six companies demonstrate an increase in efficiency over the period; 5) Twenty-eight companies, most of which recorded the highest sales, demonstrate a decrease in efficiency; and 6) In accordance with the dynamic efficiency analysis, it can be seen that more than 50% Korean shipping and airline companies have experienced declining efficiency over the past five years. The results of this study can be used as basic data in the planning stage to develop business management strategies for stakeholders in domestic shipping and airline industries, as well as to establish companies and industries in the field of logistics.
