국문 초록

DIY분야의 산업이 급속도로 발전하고 있지만, 그에 비해 깊이 있는 이론적 연구는 부족하다. 본 연구에서는 DIY의 긍정적 특성을 제시하고 힐링과의 관계를 밝혀, DIY에 관한 이론적 연구를 확장하고 실무적인 도움을 주고자 하였다. 먼저 경험적 소비와 창조 분야의 연구를 활용해 의미성, 상징성, 유희성, 맞춤성 등의 DIY긍정적 특성을 제시하였으며, 이러한 특성들이 치유효과-인지적 치유와 정서적 치유-에 주는 영향, 치유효과가 재경험의도에 주는 영향을 가정하였다. DIY에 참여하는 소비자들을 대상으로 237부의 데이터를 수집하고, 구조방정식모형을 이용해 분석하였다. 검증결과, 의미성은 인지적 치유와 정서적 치유 모두에 강한 긍정적 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났고, 상징성과 맞춤성은 인지적 치유에만 긍정적 영향을, 유희성은 정서적 치유에만 긍정적 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 인지적 치유와 정서적 치유는 모두 DIY 재경험의도에 긍정적 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 실증 연구가 부족한 DIY연구의 이론적 체계 마련에 기여하고 있으며, 관광 분야에서만 주로 연구되어 온 힐링에 관한 연구의 확장에도 도움을 준다. 또한 DIY관련 제품이나 서비스 제공자들에게 전략적 시사점을 제공하고. 힐링과 관련된 분야에서의 DIY활용에 대한 가능성을 열어준다.

영문 초록

Although the DIY industry is rapidly developing, there is little theoretical research. In this study, we present the positive characteristics of DIY and tries to find out the relation with healing. This will expand theoretical research on DIY and provide practical help. Firstly, DIY positive characteristics such as meaningfulness, symbolism, playfulness, and customization were suggested by using research in experiential consumption and experiential creation. We hypothesized that these characteristics affect the healing effect and then the healing effect influences the re-experiential intention. We collected 237 data from DIY participants and analyzed them using structural equation modeling. As a result, the meaningfulness showed a strong positive effect on both cognitive healing and emotional healing. Symbolism and customization had positive effects only on cognitive healing, and playfulness had positive effects on emotional healing. And cognitive healing and emotional healing both had a positive effect on re-experiential intention. These results contribute to the theoretical framework of DIY research lacking empirical research and also help to expand the research on healing which has been mainly studied only in the field of tourism. It also provides strategic implications for people providing DIY-related products and services. and opens up possibilities for DIY use in areas related to healing.
