한국 전통사상에 비추어 본 생산성운동의 動因과 목적

국문 초록

근대화 과정은 사회성원들이 스스로에 대한 인식의 개념 틀이 臣民에서 人民으로 그리고 國民으로의 전환을 수반한다. 경제주체가 스스로를 어떻게 인식하고, 생산 결실을 어떻게 쓰여야 하느냐는 목적의식은 생산주체가 스스로를 공동체 및 이해관계자와의 관계를 어떻게 규정하는가를 반영한다. 역량과 주체성은 사회의 문화와 연관된다는 점에서 경제활동은 넓은 의미에서 문화에 종속된다. 우리 사회가 형성되고 유지되어 오는 과정에서 근본적으로 근거될 수밖에 없는 문화적 가치들이 근대화의 과정에서 한국인의 삶의 영역에 독특한 양식과 태도를 형성시켜 현재에 이른다. 본 연구는 토착사상으로서 인간존중의 사상과 자강정신을 생산성운동의 목적과 동인으로 작용하는 기제를 분석한다. 인간존중 사상을 반영하는 고유의 사상으로서 홍익인 간 사상과 인내천 사상이 포함된다. 생산성 성과가 궁극적으로 공동체 구성원 모두에게 공정하게 분배되는 것이 바람직하다고 생각하는 경향성은 집단내 개개인을 지칭하기보다는 포괄적 관점에서 조망되는 전체 공동체로 향한다. 공동체 구성원과 함께 생활하는 가운데 환경을 조성하고 바람직한 삶의 원리를 제시함으로써 목적을 구현한다. 人乃天 사상의 등장은 사람이 어려움에 처하게 되면 자기 내면에서 솟구치는 힘을 통해 인격적 변화를 경험하고 새로운 관점으로 현실을 재해석함으로써 새로운 삶의 방식을 도출하는 방식이다. 인식 체계의 도약을 통해 정신적 성장을 이루는 것이다. 자강정신은 조선사회가 과학기술과 합리성 부족으로 기술력이 낮고 산업 발전이 이루어지지 못한 점에 대한 자기비판으로 인해 교육과 합리성 추구를 통해서 시대적 어려움을 헤쳐 나가는 방안으로 제시되었다. 지난 한 세기 동안 한국사회가 형식상의 합리성에 경직되게 몰입하여, 내용적 합리성을 상실한 듯한 모습이 발견된다.

영문 초록

Modernization process is accompanied by the cognitive framework on self changes from subject to people, and again to citizen. How an economic actor recognizes oneself and goal consciousness of how does the production output is to be utilized reflects how production actor prescribes one’s relation to the community and persons interest concerned. Economic activity is subjected to the culture in the sense that the capacity and identity are related to the culture of a society in general. In the process of formulating this society and maintaining of it, those cultural values that has to be anchored and referenced, created peculiar mode and attitude in the sphere of Korean life and reached to the present time. This study explores that the idea of human centeredness and spirit of self help function as the mechanism as the goal of and serve as strengthen the motive of the productivity movement. Devotion to the welfare of mankind(Hongik) and Person namely Heaven(Inaechun) are included as for the peculiar ideas which reflect idea of human centeredness. The tendency of being viewed desirable in case that the productivity outcome is to be distributed eventually to all the community member fairly is directed toward the exclusive community as a whole rather than pointing individual person of the community. Staying together with the community member, the goal is realized by nurturing environment and suggesting the desirable doctrine of life. The advent of Person namely Heaven idea is the example of attracting new way of life by experiencing the character transformation and reinterpreting the reality from new perspective through the innate power which springs from inside when one faced with hardship. Spiritual growth attained through the take-off in the cognitive structure. As for the self criticism on the Korean society that stays behind in the skill and industrial development because she lacks the scientific technology and reason, Self-help spirit was suggested as the method to entangle the difficulty of the era through education and pursuit of reason. During last century, Korean society rigidly committed to the reasonableness in the formality and shows that she lacks reasonableness in the contents.
