한국의 기업가정신 결정요인에 대한 탐색적 연구 : 성별 차이를 중심으로

국문 초록

한 국가의 기업가정신 수준은 국가 성장잠재력의 원천이 될 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 재)한국청년기업가정신재단의 2017 기업가정신 실태조사(개인편) 자료를 바탕으로 인구학적․인지적 개인특성 변수들을 사용하여 한국의 기업가정신 결정요인을 분석하고 이에 있어서 성별 간 차이가 존재하는지를 탐색하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 한국의 기업가정신을 결정하는 요인으로서 성별(+),연령의 자승(-), 과거창업경험(-), 창업교육경험(+), 창업기회(+), 성취욕구(+) 및 개인이익 대비 사회적 공헌 추구 정도(-)의 유의한 영향이 확인되었으며, 교육수준, 가족창업경험, 소득의 기업가정신에 대한 영향은 유의하지 않았다. 둘째, 성별에 따른 분할그룹분석 결과, 연령과 기업가정신 간 관계에서는 남성의 경우 역 U자형의 관계가 확인된 반면 여성에 있어서는 부(-)의 관계가 나타났으며, 개인 이익 대비 사회적 이익 추구 정도에 있어서는 남성은 부(-)의 영향이 나타난 반면 여성에서는 이들 관계가 유의하지 않았다. 이와 같은 본 연구의 결과는 현재 남성보다 상대적으로 낮은 수준인 여성의 경제활동참가율을 제고함으로써 열악한 노동시장 상황에서의 생산가능인구 감소 위기에 효과적으로 대비하는 정책개발 방안 도출이 필요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The level of entrepreneurship of a country can be a source of national growth potential. Accordingly, this study explores the determinants of entrepreneurship and focuses on gender differences, using demographic and cognitive-personality variables based on the data from the 2017 Factual Survey of Entrepreneurship conducted by Korea Entrepreneurship Foundation. The results are as follows. First, gender, age squared(-), start-up experience(-), entrepreneurial education, entrepreneurial opportunity, achievement motivation and social responsibility(-) were found to be influential factors in Korean entrepreneurship, whereas the effects of family start-up experience and income on entrepreneurship were not significant. Second, as a result of divided group regression analysis, there was a gender difference in age and social responsibility. In the relationship between age and entrepreneurship, a negative U-shaped relationship was found in men’s group, while a negative effect was found in women’s group. In the effects of social responsibility on entrepreneurship, men had a negative relationship, while these relationships were not significant in women’s group. The results suggest that it is necessary to develop a policy that raises the labor force participation rate of women, which is relatively low compared to men at present, to effectively prepare for the crisis caused by the reduced working-age population under poor labor market conditions.
