학교폭력 가해 경험자의 학교적응에 대한 존재론적 접근

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 학교폭력 가해학생이 학교생활에 적응해 가는 과정을 통하여, 보다 효과적인 학생 생활지도 방법을 찾고자 하는 연구이다. 연구자는 질적 연구 방법 중, van Manen의 해석학적 현상학을 도구로 삼아 학교폭력 가해학생의 경험 세계를 Heidegger의 존재론적 관점에서 접근하고 이해하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 연구자는 학교폭력 전과를 가진 연구참여자의 체험이 지니는 본질적 의미를 찾기 위해 2년 6개월에 걸쳐 참여관찰과 심층면담을 진행하였다. 연구결과 연구참여자의 학교 적응을 위한 실존의 모습은 시간과 공간의 두 개의 축을 중심으로 가족, 친구, 교사와의 관계를 통해 자신의 삶을 주도적으로 변화시켜가려는 현존재로서의 의미 있는 실존체로 드러났으며, 그 변화의 양상이 또한 신체성에도 반영된다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구가 제시하는 결론은 첫째, 청소년에 대한 효과적인 생활지도를 위해서는 그들을 의미 있는 본래적 삶을 살아가기 위하여 노력하는 존재로 바라보고 인정하는 접근 자세가 필요하며, 둘째,청소년기에는 부모의 제대로 된 보호자로서의 역할 수행이 그들의 학교생활 적응에 결정적 역할을 담당한다는 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to find out more effective ways of school life guidance by looking into the adaptation process of school bullies. For this purpose, the researcher took Heidegger ‘s ontological perspective and adopted van Manen’s hermeneutic phenomenon study as a research method to approach and understand the experiences of school violence students. To find out the essential meaning of the experience of the research participants with the history of school violence crime, the researcher conducted participatory observation and in-depth interviews for two years and six months. The results showed the adaptation of the study participant to the school was revealed as a meaningful existential existence centering on the two axes of time and space through the relationship between family, friends and teachers. Th e researcher also confi rmed that the experience of school adaptation also manifests itself as a physical change. Th e conclusion of this study is as follows: First, in order to solve the issue of guidance in school life, it is highly important for us to acknowledge and approach to students as true beings who are struggling hard to live a meaningful life. Second, the role of parents as proper caregivers in adolescence is critical for students adapting to their school life.
