국문 초록

이 연구는 다문화가정 청소년의 학업동기에 영향을 미치는 심리적, 환경적인 요인에 대한 탐색을 근거로 홀리스틱 교육 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이 연구에서는 환경적인 요인은 경제적인 수준, 외국인 모의 한국어 실력, 부모의 양육태도, 사회적 지지, 사회적 차별, 심리적인 요인은 자아정체성을 선정하여 학업 동기와의 관계를 탐색하였다. 서울, 안산, 수원지역에 거주하는 다문화가정 학생 88명이 연구에 참여하였으며, 통계기법은 기술통계, Pearson 상관분석, 중다회귀분석을 사용하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회적 지지, 자아정체성은 학업동기와 정적 상관을 보였으며 부의 양육태도는 학업 동기와 부적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 중다회귀분석 결과 사회적 지지 및 자아정체성이 학업 동기에 영향을 주는 것으로 드러났다. 마지막으로 이러한 연구결과를 근거로 다문화가정 청소년의 학업동기증진을 위한 홀리스틱 교육 방안에 관하여 기술하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to suggest a holistic educational method based on the psychological and environmental factors that affect the academic motivation of adolescents in multicultural families. For the study, the environmental factors were analyzed in terms of the economic level, mother s Korean language ability, parents education level, parenting behaviors, social support and social discrimination. Appearance satisfaction and self-identity were selected for psychological factors and analyzed in respect to the relationship with academic motivation. Participants consisted of students from multicultural families residing in Seoul, Ansan and Suwon. Data was analyzed through statistical techniques such as Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation and Multiple regression analysis. The main results of this study are as follows. First, the appearance satisfaction, social support, self-identity were related positively to the academic motivation. Authoritative parenting behaviors were related negatively to the academic motivation. Secondly, as a result of multiple regression analysis, the findings showed that social support and self-identity affected academic motivation. Finally, based on the results of this study, a holistic education method for promoting academic motivation of adolescents in multicultural families was described.
