영문 초록

It is well known to us that the Scandinavian countries are models of modern welfare state. But too little has been known to another aspect which may be more important : the Scandinavian model of industrial relations and industrial democracy. This paper aims at elucidating how industrial relations have been evolved in the Scandinavian countries to shape an original and unique model of industrial democracy. The fundamental questions raised in this context are : (1) What is the sine qua non conditions to build stable industrial relations and to flourish industrial democracy ; (2) What is the fundamental mechanisms through which industrial and social peace has been ensured ; (3) What kind of lessons can be taken from Scandinavian case. The main purposes are to nurish new elements in unduly biased debates about industrial relations which are prevalent in Korea and to point out urgent needs to adopt a new paradigm of labour-ma-nagement relations.
