영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of SNS usage on interpersonal relationships among 20 university students using SNS. As a result of the research question 1), the use time was 1 hour ~ less than 2 hours (25.8%). We use communication-based KakaoTalk the most, do not pay attention to updates of articles and photos, and most of us use SNS service to communicate with friends and acquaintances, but they are most interested in uploading personal information. However, SNS friends are forming a network of contacts that feel normal or small. SNS usage motive showed a very high average value in the use items for avoiding reality. On the other hand, a low average value appeared in the use items for self expression. In the research question 2) We tried to find out whether college students motivation to use SNS actually affects interpersonal relationships. Relationship maintenance, information acquisition, and self-expression. The motivation for college students to use SNS appeared to be a very important variable. In other words, a student who uses SNS effectively to maintain the relationship can have a positive effect on the actual interpersonal relationship. Also, using SNS for information acquisition and self-expression has a positive effect on interpersonal relationships. The use of time means that the average utilization time of the study students is a relatively favorable result and it has a positive effect on the interpersonal relationship. In conclusion, university students are very interested in SNS. In addition, the degree of positive influence on interpersonal relationships is relatively high.
