영문 초록

Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of 2D and 3D action observation on arousal and mirror neuron activity. Method: This study included 24 voluntary participants with chronic stroke stereopsis subjects. The subjects were randomly divided into 2 groups: 3D and 2D observation groups, which watched 3D and 2D action observational physical training (AOPT) video clip, respectively. Arousal for each image dimension was compared using electroencephalography (EEG) measurements of sensorimotor rhythms waves, and mirror neuron activity was determined by measuring the mu rhythm. Results: Results showed that the 3D group had a significantly higher arousal than the 2D group did while viewing for the upper limb task movies (p<.05). However, mirror neuron activity was not significantly different between thd 3D and 2D group (p>.05). Conclusion: These results indicate that 3D action observation activated mirror neurons in chronic stroke stereopsis subjects, and elicited more arousal than 2D action observation did. Therefore, the results from this study suggest the possibility of applying 3D in action observational physical training, and the findings may contribute to the development of more efficiency methods of AOPT.
