마가복음 4:35-41에 나타난 예수의 신적 정체성

국문 초록

본 논문은 마가복음 4:35-41에서 나타나는 고기독론(high christology) 을 살펴보기 위한 것이다. 사실, 마가복음의 본 단락에서 예수의 정체성이 무엇인지를 찾는 것은 그리 어려운 일이 아닐지도 모른다. 텍스트 속에서 의미를 찾아내고 신학적 의미를 적용하면 되는 일이기 때문이다. 하지만, 필자는 마가복음의 고기독론이 후기 교회의 신학적 발전의 결과물이 아니라, 복음서 중 가장 이른 것으로 여겨지는 마가복음의 텍스트가 이미 그것을 담고 있다고 주장한다. 마가복음은 구술-상연을 위해 기록되었으며, 텍스트를 눈으로 읽는 것이 아닌 상연자의 발화를 귀로 듣는 방식으로 전달되었다. 발화된 텍스트가 곧바로 사라지게 되는 구술-청각 방식의 한계로 인하여, 화자는 청자의 기억을 환기시키는 방식을 필수적으로 사용해야만 했다. 이 방식은 새로운 정보의 전달이라기보다는, 화자와 청자들이 서로 알고 있는 정보를 소통하는 것에 가깝다. 마가복음은 화자와 청자들의 공유된 머리/마음속 개념정보들의 상호작용으로 이루어진 담화(discourse)의 방식을 취하고 있다고 할 수 있다. 따라서, 언어/텍스트 담화 속에서 인간의 인지과정과 그 의미소통 과정을 연구하는 인지언어학의 도구들은 우리가 마가복음의 텍스트를 연구하는 데 있어 큰 도움을 줄 수 있다. 발화자는 수신자와 소통하기 위해 담화 속에 어떤 단서들을 제시한다. 그 단서들은 쌍방의 공유된 개념을 환기하는 정보들인데, 작게는 단어에서부터 담화 전체의 문맥에 이르기까지 광범위하게 제시된다. 이른바, 그 개념과 관련된 모든 배경 정보 즉, 틀(frame)을 환기시키는 정보들을 통하여 화자와 청자는 의사를 소통하게 된다. 그리고 그 개념들은 머리/마음속 다른 개념들과 혼성 및 통합을 이루게 되어, 그 개념이 통합되거나 새로운 개념이 형성되게 된다. 마가복음4:35-41에서는 분명 이러한 현상이 감지된다. 특별히 헬라어 동사 시제의 특정한 변화는, 그 화자가 예수의 정체가 무엇인지에 대해 청자들이 자신의 머리/마음속 개념을 통해 알아챌 수 있도록 돕고 있다. 예수가 바다와 바람에게 명령한 것은, 구약성경 시편106:23-30[LXX]을 반향, 혹은 암시하는 것이다. 예수의 말과 행동은 청자들의 머리/마음속에서 바다와 바람을 잠잠케 하는 하나님의 정체성을 나타내는 구약성경 텍스트의 개념과 통합/혼성된다. 따라서 마가복음의 화자는 청자들이 이미 알고 있는 예수 전승 정보와 구약성경 텍스트 정보를 통해, “예수는 하나님의 정체성을 가지고 있다”는 개념을 청자들과 소통할 수 있는 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aims to find high christology in Mark 4:35-41. I argue that the high christology of the Mark is not a product of the theological development of the latter church, but that the texts of Mark already contain it. Mark was written for oral-performance and represented that hearing the voices of the performer rather than reading the texts with eyes. The speaker had to use the methods of recalling the hearers’ memories because of the limits of the oral-aural media, in which the uttered texts disappear immediately. Mark represented the interactions of conceptual informations that shared by the discourse participants. Therefore it can be great help in studying the text of Mark that the cognitive linguistic theories that researching cognitive processes and communication processes in the discourse. Speaker presents certain clues that informations of evoked and shared concepts by them in the discourse to communicates with the hearers. These are presented extensively from the words to the contexts of the entire discourse. The speaker can communicates with the hearers through the clues that evoking all the background informations(the frames) related to the concepts. Then, the concepts are blended with other concepts in their minds, and the concepts integrate or new concepts create. This phenomena can be found in Mark 4:35-41. In particular, These presented through the greek verbal tense forms. Greek verbal aspect concepts help to reveal in the texts what is the identity of Jesus grammatically. The commands of Jesus to the sea and the wind were an “echo”, or “allusion” of the Psalm 106:23-30[LXX] in the Old Testament. The words and actions of Jesus are integrated with the concepts of the Old Testament texts, which represent the identity of God in calming the sea and the wind in the hearers’ minds. Therefore, the speaker can communicates with the hearers the concepts of “Jesus has the identity of God” through the informations of the Jesus traditions already known to them and the informations of the Old Testament texts.
