예술경영 대학원 교과과정 개선방안에 관한 연구

국문 초록

문화예술에 대한 수요는 크게 증가하고 있어 앞으로 예술경영 전문인력의 본격적인 활약이 기대되는 시점에서, 현재 예술경영 종사자들이 겪고 있는 현장성 부족을 보완하고 미래 문화예술계의 변화를 읽고 이끌어갈 인재양성을 위하여 예술경영전문인력에 필요한 역량과 연계한 대학원 예술경영 교과과정의 개선점을 모색하는데 본 연구의 목적이 있다. 총22개 대학원 38개 프로그램에 대하여 예술경영 전문인력에게 요구되는 4개의 역량인 리더십, 직무전문성, 경영마인드, 개인의 자질과 특성으로 교과과정을 분류하였고 또한 교과목 운영방식에 따라 강의, 인턴 및 현장실습, 전공심화의 형태로 분석하였다. 분석결과 가장 중요한 역량인 리더십과 관련 된 교과과정의 비중이 가장 낮았고, 운영방식에서는 인턴 및 현장실습 방식이 가장 낮은 비중을 나타냈다. 예술경영 대학원 교육 프로그램은 현장의 실무자를 양성하는 중요한 역할을 하고 있음에 비추어 교과과정 분석결과 현장보다는 이론중심의 교육위주로 운영되고 있어 이에 대한 개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 관리자에게 요구되는 중요 역량인 리더십 관련 교과목을 보강하여 앞으로 현장의 업무를 효과적으로 수행할 예술경영 인재 양성기관으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 유도할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

The art and culture is doing an important role in our life and society. We all agree with rapid changes in our circumstances the arts administrators should take care. But in the field of real art world, there are many problems we have to solve. This study is focusing on finding the problem of arts administrators’ education program in S. Korea and suggest new concept for the future education system of the arts administration in graduate program which produce right arts administrators who is doing the important role to develop the arts. As of september 2013, 38 graduate programs in 22 universities in our sample in arts administration in S. Korea. Through overall analysis about the curriculum of graduate arts administration program, we can find discordance between major and curriculum. And we analyzed the curriculum in-depth based on the competency modeling for arts administrators in the field which is leadership, personnel character traits, job specialty and management attitude. The other analysis is the education process which is in-class, experiential learning and specific administration courses. As a result, the course related to leadership is 5% which is the most important competency for the arts administrators and in-class course is 74.7% but experiential learning is 1.8%. Therefore, graduate programs should change their course works based on the mission and vision, and enforce the course related to leadership and experiential learning to training suitable arts administrators. Furthermore, it is time to consider culture industry and culture welfare as arts administration program. And we hope the arts administration and arts administrators prepare, follow and lead culture trends.
