영문 초록

Twenty six F₁ hybrids of pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) in combination with their eight parents were estimated for the degree of heterosis in thirteen quantitiative characters. The high degree of heterosis over higher parents in F₁ hybrids was found in most of the characters such as days to flowering, plant height, fruit length, fruit diameter, fruit weight per fruit, and chemical components. Especially total fruit weight per plant showed high degree of heterosis. However, the magnitude of heterosis was different from that of PCA score distance.
