들뢰즈의 기호를 통한 배움이 평생학습에 주는 시사점

국문 초록

본 연구는 들뢰즈의 기호를 통한 배움이 평생학습에 주는 시사점을 고찰하였다. 그의 논의는 평생학습의 철학적 의미, 평생학습에 대한 사회적 비판 나아가 평생학습자의 지향을 제시해 준다. 들뢰즈가 독해한 소설에서 사교계의 기호, 사랑의 기호, 감각의 기호, 예술적 기호는 허비되 거나 잃어버린 시간에서 되찾은 시간으로 향하는 배움의 여정을 상징한다. 이 소설에 나타난 기호를 통한 배움은 ‘방법’이 아닌 ‘우연’과 ‘강제’의 원리에 입각해 이루어지며 이질성을 동반하고 있다. 기호는 배움의 자발성을 보장하고 타자와의 관계 및 창조적 사유를 가능하게 해주는 장치 로서 평생학습에서 강조되는 ‘생성적 접근’ 뿐 아니라 2013년 유네스코 국제위원회 보고서가 천명한 학습의 의의와도 공명한다. 우리는 들뢰즈의 기호를 통한 배움에 대한 논의를 통해 포스트 모던 사회 속에서 확장된 평생학습의 의미를 볼 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the implications of Deleuze’s apprendre through signs for lifelong education. Deleuze’s apprendre through signs suggests the new logic about the searching of the truth through life, the balance of learning and knowledge in lifelong learning and the solution of the discordance between education and learning nowadays. In Deleuze’s argument, four signs are distinguished as: first, worldly signs of polite society; second, the amorous signs of passion and jealousy; third, the evanescent sensual signs of involuntary memory and fourth, the immaterial signs of art. These are corresponding to the touring of the apprendre from exhausted or lost time to recovery time. Deleuze’s apprendre through signs follows not the principle of ‘method’ but the principle of ‘coincidence’ and ‘enforcement’ accompanied with heterogeneity always in Proust’s novel. At the same time, there are encounters with thought, creation is necessarily accompanied with a lot of signs. Deleuze’s apprendre through signs is an effective tool to ensure the spontaneity of apprendre and creative thinking. Consequently, we are able to rethink the directing point of lifelong education and the significance of lifelong learning in the post-modern era.
