지속가능 SCM 실행과 환경정책이 환경성과에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 지속가능 SCM 활동과 환경정책 활동이 환경성과에 미치는 영향관계에 대한 연구가 미비한 상황에서 공급업체를 중심으로 지속가능 SCM(Sustainable Supply Chain Management) 실행이 SCM 내의 환경정책과 환경성과에 미치는 상호관련성을 실증자료를 통해 검증하고자 연구모형을 제시하였고, 가설검증을 위해 국내외 1·2차 협력업체의 구매/물류/자재 담당 관리자를 중심으로 자료를 수집하였다. 본 연구에서는 한국기업 227개, 미국기업 212개 총 439개의 자료를 이용하여 측정모형의 타당성 및 신뢰성 검증 후 구조방정식 모형을 적용하여 가설검증을 실시하였다. 분석결과 지속가능 SCM 실행 요인 중 두 국가 모두 공급자통합은 환경정책에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타난 반면, 각 국가별 서로 상반되게 내부통합과 고객통합이 환경정책에 부분적으로 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 한국과 미국기업은 각각 상반되게 환경정책은 부분적으로 환경성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 지속가능 SCM 실행을 통해 기업간 상호협력적인 관계를 구축하고 상호환경정책을 실행한다면 장기적인 측면에서 환경성과 향상을 달성할 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 친환경적 경영환경을 구축하고자 하는 SCM 관련 기업뿐만 아니라 수출을 중점적으로 또는 잠재적 기업에게 가이드라인을 위한 기본 자료가 될 것이며, 환경문제에 대한 경쟁력을 강화시키고 글로벌 시장에서 경쟁우위 기업으로 성장할 수 있는 기회를 모색하는데 활용 될 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the interrelationships among sustainable SCM practices, environmental policy practices, and environmental performance. The research model proposed describes the influence of sustainable SCM practices on environmental performance through environmental policy measures. In the study, 12 hypotheses were developed and tested using structural equation modeling on data collected from 439(227 Korean and 212 USA) firms. The results of the study support the hypothesis that supplier integration of sustainable SCM practices is positively associated with environmental policy practices. However, there is a significantly difference between the Korean and USA firms in the internal integration of sustainable SCM practices and environmental performance, as well as in customer integration of sustainable SCM practices and environmental policy practices. Environmental policy practices are partially positive effect on the environmental performance of the sampled firms in both countries. The results of the study suggest that environmental performance can be improved by building a cooperative relationship among companies and implementing an integrated environmental policy based on sustainable SCM practices. This study would provide useful information for firms with sustainable SCM practices, as well as for companies seeking to find opportunities to gain a competitive advantage in the environment-friendly business market.
