영문 초록
Making Samsung group grow up as a top company group in Korean business circles was originated from Lee, Byung-chull s management philosophy. Lee, Byung-chull established and expanded the group under the spirit of making the country strong through doing a business.
Employees of Samsung group are retaining the spirit of family-like relationship as Samsung-men and concentrating their minds on the growth of Samsung. Meanwhile, Samsung group is a reasonable community of companies introducing the principle of thorough competition and a community of having two types of characteristic. Those are appeared in the life principle and business philosophy of Lee, Byung-chull, the founder of Samsung group. That is, Lee, Byung-chull s traditional Confucianism and modern rationalism are observed in the management of Samsung group. Like this, Samsung group is a community of companies having traditionalism and modernism because the management culture of Korea, in general, is a culture that traditional and modern cultures are combined. Making the country strong by doing a business, talented people first and pursuing rationality which are Lee, Byung-chull s business principles are sympathized and shared among all employees of Samsung group. Thus, those principles are worked as the compass of management direction.
Samsung group is different from other multinational companies whose nationalities are ambiguous.
Samsung spirit of Samsung group are creative spirit, ethic spirit, the firstism, perfectionism and prosperity together, and its management principle is understood as an action principle. As the scale of Samsung group is getting bigger, the Samsung spirits are included in its management principle.
Lee, Byung-chull s management direction shows a chrateristic that presidents of affiliated companies are fully responsible for the management. His order in the management of the group is usually delivered through more than 200 secretaries or through annual meeting consisted of 20 presidents of affiliated companies. According to controling the group by the principle of sure penalty and certain reward, his order was being obeyed even though he never signed on the papers.
Lee, Byung-chull grows Samsung group to a top company group in the Korean business circles and furthermore a worldwide company group by developing new markets and products with excellent management ability.
