영문 초록
This paper analyzes the social welfare benefits of R&D investment on Korean livestock industry. The Honwoo and Pork markets are modeled in a multimarket framework. Using the estimated parameters, the changes in consumer surplus and producer surplus are measured corresponding to a scenario of the Livestock Development Plan. Results show that total benefits of 1,702 billion won accrued during 1992-1998 investment period, and that 5.8% increase of the current R&D investment for the period of 1999-2004 will accrue 75 billon won.
