생산능력 활용률이 기업 활동의 변동성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

리틀의 법칙은 L=xW로 표현되며, 제조시스템에 적용될 때 WIP=TH×CT로 변형되어 사용된다. 이 법칙에 따르면 기 업 활동의 결과는 도착률(ㅅ)과 평균 서비스 시간(W) 또는 생산능력(TH )과 리드타임(CT)으로 나타난다. 본 연구에서는 리틀의 법칙을 구성하는 항목의 변동계수 또는 변동계수 제곱을 활용하여 기업 활동의 변동성을 규정한 후, G/G/1 모형 을 중심으로 단일기업 및 공급사슬상에서 기업 활동 변동성을 측정할 수 있는 지표를 제안하고 분석하였다. 단일기업에서의 기업 활동 변동성을 측정하는 지표로 Kingman의 근사식에 근거한 Hopp and Spearman의 VUT등식 중 변동성 항목을 제안하였으며, 이 지표를 분석하여 기업 활동의 변동성이 생산능력 활용률과 상충관계에 있음을 밝히 고, 상충관계분석과 민감도분석을 수행할 수 있도록 산식을 제시하였다. 또한, 이 산식으로부터 리드타임을 효과적으로 감소시키는 효과적인 방법으로 기업 활동의 변동성 감소를 제안하였다. 아울러, 공급사슬의 관점에서 Kuehn의 근사식에 따라 계산된 도착률과 출발률을 이용하여 단일기업에서의 변동성을 측정할 수 있는 지표를 개발하고, 지표 특성 분석을 통해 기업 활동의 변동성을 결정하는 중요 요인이 생산능력 활용률, 생산율과 도착률의 변동계수 제곱 비율임을 확인하였 다. 마지막으로 시뮬레이션에 의해 생성된 자료에 대해 통계적 검증을 수행함으로써 생산능력 활용률과 기업 활동 변동성 간의 관계를 입증하였다.

영문 초록

Little’s law is expressed as L=xW , and used as WIP=TH×CT？？ in a modified format when applied to manufacturing systems. We can see from this formula that the results of enterprise activities are determined by the arrival rate(ㅅ) and service rate(W), or production rate(TH ) and lead time(CT). In this study, we define enterprise activities in terms of coefficients of variation( CV) or squared ( SCV), develop the indicators to measure the variabilities in the single entity and the supply chain, and analyze them using the G/G/1 model as follows: First, we propose the variability term of Hopp & Spearman’s VUT formula, which is based on Kingman’s approximation formula, as the indicator of the single entity. By analyzing the formula, we verify that there is a trade-off relationship between the variability of enterprise activities and capacity utilization rate, and propose a formula for both trade-off relationship analysis and sensitivity analysis. In addition, we suggest enterprises can reduce their variability effectively by utilizing this formula. Second, we develop an indicator to measure variability in the supply chain using the arrival rate and departure rate based on Kuehn’s approximation formula, and verify that the critical factors to determine the variability are the capacity utilization rate and the SCV of the production rate and departure rate. Finally, we statistically verify the relationship between the capacity utilization rate and variability of enterprise activities by using simulated data.
