영문 초록

It is difficult to accurately answer whether Korea is already a multicultural society. In many statutes, however, Korea is already a multicultural society. In this paper, we examined how the criminal procedure of the Republic of Korea is preparing for a multicultural society. I selected some of the many related topics. Public defenders, disclosure of charges, selection of interpreters, type and methods of oaths, and the code of ethics of judges are chosen as important themes. The conclusion of this paper is as follows; First, in relation to the selection of the public defender, it is necessary to add Article 33 Paragraph 1 Number 7 or revise Article 33 Paragraph 3 in order to establish clear rules for the selection of public defenders for foreigners and immigrants. Second, when the investigating agency is investigating the suspect, it must disclose the fact of the offense and the name of the offense. Third, various forms of oath should be recognized. Fourth, the interpreter at the investigation stage and the interpreter at the trial stage should be fundamentally distinguished. And finally, the judge s code of ethics should be changed in accordance with the multicultural society.
