영문 초록

This is to report of 2 cases of orthognathic surgery for mandibular prognathism. In the surgical correction of mandibular prognathism, many methods have been used in diverse cases. But, for the correction of severe protrusion of the mandible, combination of two or three methods is desirable and inevitable. Recently this tendency of combination of surgical techniques is growing in the field of orthognathic surgery. In this cases, intraoral sagittal split osteotomy with reduction genioplasty, osteotomy on mandibular symphysis, and ostectomy on mandibular body was used. The results are as follows; 1. Mandiblar prognathism was corrected intraorally. 2. Improvement of anterior facial height was augmented via reduction genioplasty. 3. Posterior cross-bite was corrected by osteotomy on mandibular symphysis. 4. Occlusion on anterior portion was improved via ostectomy on mandibular body.
