영문 초록

A case of a giant central cementifying fibroma of the mandible was presented. The cementifying fibroma, a histopathologic term, of the jaw is a benign neoplasm as well as the ossifying fibroma of the jaw, and they are considered as lesions of periodontal ligament origin. Differentiation of this lesion from fibrous dysplasia is important in the correct management of this lesion. Surgical resection of the lesion was performed by partial mandibulectomy, and mandible reconstruction was done simultaneously with metal plate insertaion and iliac bone graft. By follow up check of the patient, we obtained of good result of functional and esthetic reconstruction without any signs of recurrence of the lesion.
