영문 초록

We studied 60 cases of impacted mandibular third molar pericoronitis in department of oral and maxillofacial surgery, Wonkwang university dental hospital. The purposes of this study were the evaluation of effecacy and safety of Minocline strip on impacted mandibular third molar pericoronitis. We survyed pam and function with visual analogue scale (VAS), aerobic and anaerobic microorganism changes with cocci, immoblile rods, mobile rod and spirochetes, some complications in pre and post med1cation (Minocline strip). The obtained results were as follows 1. Main chief complaints of patients were pain and swelling as 53.3% and 28.4% in the first visit in our department. 2. Pam relief (53.3%) and functional improvement (26.7%) of post medication in experimental group were higher than those (23.3% and 11.6%) in control group. 3. Numbers of microorganism of post medication presented conspicious decrease in experimental group than control group 4. By terms of patient s reaction of using Minochne strip, about 77% of patients revealed satisfactory. 5. Complications of using Minocline strip were rare (exclude 2 cases). 6 With above results, Minocline strip appeared to be clinically effective and safe in 57 cases of 60 cases for treatment of impacted mandibular third molar pericoronitis.
