영문 초록

Whereas many texts for apple production have been published there have been little study about apple orchard business management since High- density Dwarf Apple Pilot Program was launched in 1999. This study aims to develop a business model for high-density dwarf apple orchard. For pursuing this purpose analysis on establishment and production cultural practices and material inputs and business profitability were performed. The business model is for family farm mainly managing and operating with husband and wife s labor. Apple orchard scale is 2ha and the trees were planted on a 4×1.5 meter spacing with 150 trees per 10a. Variety distribution by maturity season is early 10%, middle 30%, late 60% for reducing price risk and labor distribution. Establishment costs for high-density dwarf apple orchard is 79 million won per 2ha. Yearly labor input for 2ha is 4,058 hours including hired 1,968 hours. management costs including facility investment, material costs, and labor wages are 58 million won. Total receipt is 136 million won coming from yield of 60,760kg and price of 2,238 won/kg. Yearly income reaches 77 million won. Major cultural practices are as follows; ① a cover crop such as ryegrass is planted for stabilization of soil and preventing of soil erosion, ② no-paper-bag variety is chosen for labor saving ③ artificial pollination is adopted for producing high-quality apples and etc.
