영문 초록

This study was made in order to analyze the reality of the certification system and the market size of domestic organically processed foods (OPF) and provide the basic data of production and consumption of organic foods. A survey was conducted on 169 companies that received the certificate of OPF. The total number of OPF certified of these companies was 242 and it showed a high portion for tea products, miscellaneous food products, beverage products and soy fermented products. In addition, most of the companies with the certificate had a plan to maintain or expand the production of OPF in future. Based on this, an estimation of yearly domestic market size of certified OPF was conducted and it was expected to be 280.5 billion won in 2010, 332.1 billion won in 2011, 355.6 billion won in 2012 and 383.8 billion won in 2013 respectively. The growth rate compared with the previous year was expected to be 18.4% in 2011, 7.1% in 2012 and 7.9% in 2013, and the average growth rate up to 2013 was expected to be 11.0%. The certification status of OPF should be monitored constantly through establishing a periodical survey system in future.
