국문 초록

이 글은 히든챔피언의 경쟁우위 자원에 대한 선행연구 검토에서 도출한 항목을 중심으로 자원, 능력, 조직, 전략 차원 등 네 가지 차원에서 강원지역 제조업체들의 경쟁력 원천을 진단하고 이들 요소가 갖는 성과 함의를 고찰하였다. 세부적으로는 불확실성의 환경 동학 가운데 기업가정신과 핵심역량(자원 차원), 동태적 능력과 흡수능력(능력 차원), 분권화, 내부통합 및 최고경영진의 국제적 경험(조직 차원), 비전만족도와 국제화(전략 차원) 등의 구성요소를 고찰하였다. 강원도 제조업체 상장 및 비상장기업 가운데 영업이익률 기준 상위 750개 기업 가운데 설문을 허용한 68개 기업을 대상으로 2015년 4월~10월까지 약 7개월 동안 실시한 설문자료이다. 분석도구는 PLS 추정방법을 사용하였다. 연구분석 결과, 자원 차원에서 기업가정신은 시장성과에 대해서만 유의적인 양(＋) 의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 핵심역량은 기업성과에 대해 유의적인 관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 한편 능력차원에서 핵심 예측변수인 동태적 능력은 혁신성과, 재무성과, 시장성과 모두 유의적인 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 달리 불확실성은 혁신성과에 대해 직접적으로 유의적인 양(＋)의 영향을 미치는 동시에 동태적 능력과 상호작용하여 혁신성과에 대해 유의적인 양(＋)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 흡수능력 역시 혁신성과에 대해서만 유의적인 양(＋)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 조직 차원에서 분권화는 기업성과와 유의한 관계가 없는 것으로 나타났고, 내부통합은 혁신성과와 재무성과에 대해 유의한 양(＋)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났 다. 또한 리더의 국제적 경험과 리더십 스타일 등 리더 관련 요인 모두 기업성과와 유의한 관계가 없는 것으로 고찰되었다. 전략 차원에서 비전만족도는 재무성과에 대해서만 유의한 양(＋)의 영향을 미치고, 국제화는 혁신성과에 대해서만 유의한 양(＋)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 고찰되었다.

영문 초록

This paper examined the impact of resources, capabilities, organization and strategy on firm performance by taking an evidence from the manufacturing in Gangwon Province. The research model consists of entrepreneurship, core competencies(dimension of resources), dynamic capabilities, absorptive capacity(dimension of capabilities), decentralization, internal integration, international experience of TMTs(dimension of organization), and vision sharing, internationalization(dimension of strategy). Data sample covers 68 manufacturings in Gangwon Province, colledted by on-site survey, which has been done for 7 months, from April to October 2015. An positive analysis employs the PLS model. The main findings are that in terms of resource dimension, entrepreneurship is positively associated with market performance only, whilst core competencies are not significantly associated with firm performance; in terms of capabilities, dynamic capability is not significantly associated with all the types of firm performance, i.e. innovative-, financial-, and market performances; in contrast, uncertainty is directly positively associated with innovative performance, whilst it moderates positively the dynamic capability-innovative performance relationship; in terms of organization, decentralization is not significantly associated with firm performance, whilst internal integration is positively associated with innovative and financial performances; international experience of TMTs is not associated with firm performance; in terms of strategy, vision sharing is positively associated with financial performance only, whilst internationalization is positively associated with innovative performance only.
