국문 초록

이 글은 분단 70주년, 평화와 군축을 위한 세계 여성의 날에 시도된 WOMENCROSSDMZ, 국제여성평화걷기의 진행 과정에 대한 구체적인 분석을 통해 한반도 평화를 위한 초국적 페미니스트 활동이 마주한 경계들을 개념화하고, 경계 넘기를 위한 과제를 도출하기 위해 쓰였다. 2015 WOMENCROSSDMZ 한국위원회의 실행위원으로 참여하며 그 과정을 깊숙이 목격한 경계인으로서 자기민속지학적 방법론을 빌어 한국위원회의 형성 및 행사 진행 과정에서 발생한 국제적·국내적 갈등의 요소들을 분석하고, 여성평화운동이 시도하는 “경계 넘기”를 위해 대화를 통한 횡단하는 정치의 필요성을 강조하고자 한다. 안잘두아는 경계란 단절된 인위적인 선을 일컫지만 경계지대란 이러한 인위적 경계에 의해 창출된 불편한 감정들이 합쳐져서 만들어 낸 모호하고 확정되지 않은 장소, 그래서 ‘정상’의 범주에서 벗어난 모호한 존재들이 거주하는 곳이라고 정의한다(Anzaldúa, 1999:25). 즉, 한국 분단의 경계 넘기와 평화 만들기의 과정은 평화협정 체결의 거시적인 체제의 변화에 앞서 각 개인이 마주한 정치적 맥락과 그 조건에서 형성된 역사적 경험들에 대한 이해와 공감을 바탕으로 시작될 수 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This paper has aimed to identify the borders with which feminist international solidarity movements have faced in an attempt of peace-building in Korean peninsular and also address the issues arising in border-crossing by delving into the process of 여세연(Korea Women s Political Solidarity). WCD is an act to cross DMZ by walk on the International Women s Day for Peace and Disarmament in 2015 that marks the 70th Anniversary of the North-South Korea Division. As a member of the 2015 WOMENCROSSDMZ South Korean Committee who has witnessed and deeply engaged in such process, it tries to analyse both external and internal causes of conflicts occurred in the processes of formation and operation of the Committee by taking the methodology of autoethnography. In so doing, it concludes that it is the prerequisite for women s peace movement groups to have a dialogue with mutual empathy and understanding of each individual who has her own situatedness with different paths of personal histories. It will then lead to transversal politics to enable to achieve a common goal to bring a peace regime for geopolitics in Korean peninsular.
