영문 초록

As the abandoned mining areas, 4 cities including Taebael‘ City and Jeongseon-gun have been at a standstill with the declined coa1 rmmng industries and rapidly reduced populations since the late 1980s. However, according to the ’ Specia1 Act for abandoned mining areas I , they stted to find the breakthrough with Gangwon Land established and tourism industry developed. In the meantime, these areas come into antagonism with each other due to the regiona1 self-centeredness these days, whenever there are development-related issues, which make them not capable of the synergy effects under the mutua1 cooperation. To overcome this non-productive status, the purpose of this study is to consider the win-win plans and collaborations mainly focusing on the region-specia1ized industries featuring the environment• friendly new drive and tourism business, so that Taebaeck City and ]eongseon-gun could come true the mutua1 cooperation under the regional innovation as the representative abandoned rnining areas.
