국문 초록

케어매니지먼트는 대상자 특성이 어떠하든 지역생활을 지원하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있고, 그러한 점이 다양한 대상자가 살기 익숙해진 지역사회 안에서 생활을 계속해간다고 하는 이념을 실현하는 최적의 방법이라고 할 수 있다. 즉, 케어매니지먼트는 요원호자의 자기결정ㆍ선택을 존중한 원조방법이고 나아가서는 요원호자의 자립을 지원하는 것이 된다. 최근에는 이 자립개념을 넓게 보고, 자신의 삶의 방식을 자신이 책임을 지고 결정해가는 것으로 이해하는 경향이 강해지고 있다. 또, 케어매니지먼트의 목적이 요원호자의 지역생활을 지원하는 것이라고 하는 것은 분명하지만, 그 결과 이용자의 생활의 질을 어떻게 향상시켜 갈 것인가가 중요한 포인트가 된다. 즉, 지역생활지원안에서 이용자의 생활의 질을 높이기 위해서는 케어매니저에게는 커뮤니케이션 능력을 높여, 본인이나 그 환경에서의 강점을 끄집어내는 원조가 필요 불가결해진다. 본 연구는 위에서 언급한 케어매니지먼트의 일부로서 이용자의 의욕ㆍ능력ㆍ자신ㆍ기호를 활용하는 스트랭스(강점활용)모델의 셀프케어 요소를 적용한 실증적 연구이다.

영문 초록

Care Management intends to support life in the local community irrespective of the characteristics of the recipient. In this respect Care Management can be said to be the best way to realize the ideal of allowing various types of recipients to live in the local communities they are accustomed to. In other words, Care Management is a method of assistance that respects the self-determination and choice of the recipient and thus helps the recipient to be self-reliant. In recent years, the growing tendency is to expand this concept of self-reliance to mean that one has to be responsible for determining one's own way of living. In addition, it is clear that the purpose of Care Management is to support the recipient's life in the local community, but an important point is how the recipient will improve the quality of his/her life as a result. That is, to ensure the quality of life of the user in the framework of local community assistance, the care manager must enhance his/her communication capabilities, and be able to draw out the strengths in the given environment. This empirical study applied the self-care elements of the strength model which utilizes the will, ability, self-confidence and preference of the user as part of the Care Management mentioned above.
