국문 초록

본 소논문에서 필자는 마가복음 10장 46-52절에 나오는 소경 거지에 대한 이야기를 예수님의 종말론적 하나님 나라 사역의 시각으로 해석해 보고 있다. 이 해석을 위해 필자는 소경 거지의 이름과 관련된 논의들을 개관해 보고, 그의 옷을 벗어 던지는 행동, 자신을 조용히 시키려는 무리들을 향해 소리치는 행동의 의미를 살펴본다. 또한 본문의 처음과 마지막 부분에 사용되고 있는 "길"이라는 뜻의 헬라어, ὁδός의 의미를 구약 예언의 성취라는 측면에서 살펴보면서, "다윗의 아들"이라는 표현이 마가의 기독론과 연결되어 있다는 것을 보여준다. 이런 해석들의 결과로 예수 그리스도의 사역을 통해서 미래적 하나님 나라의 현재적 도래가 이루어지고 있으며, 마가는 치유받은 소경 거지가 자발적으로 예수님를 따라 길을 나서는 모습을 통해서 예수님의 하나님 나라 사역에로 자신의 청중들을 초대하고 있다고 주장한다.

영문 초록

In this article, I will attempt to interpret the story of a blind beggar in Mark 10:46-52 through the perspective of the eschatological kingdom of God. Through re-reading the narrative, I will investigate the controversial issue connected to the designation of the blind beggar and analyze the dynamic exchanges between the blind beggar and the crowd focusing on his series of actions such as throwing the garment away and shouting loudly against the crowd's attempt to keep him silent. I want to examine an eschatological connotation of the term, ὁδός with its connection to Isaiah's prophecy. This eschatological atmosphere can help readers understand that the blind beggar's title for Jesus, "Son of David" is appropriate for Markan Christology. I also want to suggest a function of the story in a broader context of Markan narrative. I will argue, as a result, that God's future kingdom has extended into the present world through Jesus' boundary-crossing kingdom ministry and its present impact can be sensed through the blind beggar's voluntary participation in Jesus' journey to Jerusalem.
