대통령 리더십연구에 대한 문헌고찰

국문 초록

본 논문은 국내․외 대통령리더십에 대한 연구논문을 고찰한 것으로 대통령 리더십의 연구흐름과 지난 10 년간 국내에서 연구되었던 22 편의 논문을 중심으로 대통령리더십의 연구유형 , 연구형태 등을 분석하였다 . 분석결과 국내논문의 연구유형은 대통령의 개인적 리더십에 관련된 것이 5편 , 정책적 리더십에 관련된 것이 4편 , 행정적 리더십에 관련된 것이 4편 , 대중적 리더십에 관련된 것이 6편 , 입법적 리더십에 관련된 것이 3편으로 나타났다 . 연구방법에 있어서는 국외논문 14편 중 13편이 개념연구였으며 1편이 실증연구였고 국내논문 22편 중 21편이 개념연구 , 1편이 실증연구였다 . 또한 국내논문 22편의 논문 중 20편이 서로 다른 학회지에 등재되어 있어 후속연구의 연계성과 전문성이 결여되었음을 나타냈다 . 대통령 리더십 연구에서 고려해야할 점은 1) 개인적 특성이 대통령 리더십에 유효한가 , 2) 대통령 리 더십스타일은 국정운영에 영향을 미치는가 , 3) 상황에 따라 리더십은 다른가 4) 대통 령리더십스타일에 따라 참모체계의 성격구조가 달라지는가 , 5) 대통령의 재임기간동 안 시간의 흐름에 따라 대통령리더십 스타일이 달라지는가 등의 다섯 가지 질문을 선정하여 이에 따른 분석을 시도하였으며 끝으로 국내연구논문의 한계점과 그에 따른 향후 연구방향을 제시하였다 .

영문 초록

This thesis aims to study presidential leadership analyzing the flow of the presidential leadership and 22 Korean theses issued for the last ten years studying on type and form of presidential leadership―five theses about individual presidential leadership; four theses about political leadership, four theses about administrative leadership; six theses about popular leadership; and three theses about legislative leadership. 13 foreign theses performed study on the concept and only one foreign thesis focused on the empirical study. Also, 21 Korean theses performed study on the concept and one thesis focused on the empirical study. It would be difficult to follow up the study of presidential leadership since each of the 20 Korean theses was registered in different academic journals. When we study presidential leadership, we should consider these five questions― is an individual characteristic effective to presidential leadership?; do presidents’ leadership styles have effects on the government operation? ; can leadership styles be different depending on the situation? ; can the type of the adviser system be different depending on presidential leadership styles? ; can presidential leadership types be different during the time of presidency? Finally, I suggest the direction of the future study showing the limit of Korean theses.
