초등학생을 위한 진로지도프로그램이 저소득층 가정 아동의 진로성숙도와 진로자기효능감에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 저소득층 가정의 초등학교 아동을 대상으로 진로지도 프로그램을 실시하여 저소득층 가정 아동의 진로성숙도와 진로자기효능감에 미치는 영향에 대하여 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 확인하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 서울시 강서구에 소재한 초등학교 6학년 학생들 중 국민기초생활수급자, 한부모보호가족, 법적차상위계층, 기타 저소득층에 해당하는 아동을 대상으로 진로지도 프로그램에 참여하기를 희망한 28명의 아동을 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 이들을 무선 배치하여 14명을 실험집단으로, 나머지 14명을 통제집단으로 구성하였다. 실험집단과 통제집단에 진로성숙도와 진로자기효능감을 알아보는 사전검사를 실시하였으며, 실험집단에게만 11차시의 초등학생을 위한 진로지도 프로그램(CDP-E)을 처치한 후, 두 집단에게 다시 진로성숙도와 진로자기효능감 사후검사를 실시하였다. 진로지도 프로그램이 진로성숙도와 진로자기효능감에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 사전검사 결과를 공변인으로 처리하여 사후검사에 대한 공변량분석(ANCOVA)을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 초등학생을 위한 진로지도 프로그램은 저소득층 가정 아동의 진로성숙도와 자기효능감에 긍정적인 영향을 주고 있음이 밝혀졌다. 따라서 초등학생을 위한 진로지도 프로그램은 저소득층 가정 아동들에게 자아를 이해하는데 도움을 주고, 사회적 역량을 개발시켜 일과 직업세계를 이해하고 진로를 탐색하여 자신의 진로를 준비하는데 긍정적인 영향을 주며, 주어진 과업이나 행동을 수행할 수 있는 자신의 능력에 대한 자신감을 키워주는데 효과를 가지고 있다고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of career-guidance program on career maturity and career self-efficacy of elementary students in low-income households. To pursue this research goal, 28 grade 6 children in elementary school located in Gangseo-Gu, Seoul were randomly assigned into two groups, an experimental and a control group. Both career maturity and career self-efficacy tests were given to experiment and control groups as pre- and post-tests before and after the career-guidance program for elementary students called CDP-E. Pre-test scores were treated as co-variate to control the differrences of experiment and control groups before the treatment like CDP-E and ANCOVA was implemented to analyze data. Based upon the resutls of this study, the career-guidance program for the elementary students has positive effects on the career maturity and self-efficacy of elementary students of low-income household. Therefore, the career-guidance program for the elementary students could help the children in understanding an ego, and preparing their own career, and it could have effects for fostering confidence about own ability to perform given tasks and behavior.
