영문 초록

This study aims to presume the writer of 「Wasaokan」, a fable story containing law story. This work is a medium-length Chinese story mixed with Yi-Doo(吏讀), and it describes realistically the investigation process of murder, the death of a tadpole which is a son of a frog killed by a boa. I followed several pieces of evidence that this work might be written by Mok Tae Llm(睦台林). First of all, the story and 「Jong Ok Jeon(鍾玉傳)」 were in the same book and the person who copied the stories was the same person Second, same phrases around ten or so between 「Wasaokan」 and 「Jong Ok Jeon」 were found, and the real family story of Mok Tae Lim was presented as the personal history of the character in the story. Third, the subject matter and the whole scheme of the story was originated from the legend for the name of the place, SaRyang-Do(상량도), an island nearby KyungNam(경남), SaCheon(사천). Fourth, he was also good at Yi-Doo and law-related official papers. Fifth, Yi-Doo suffixes were found in his another work 「Chun Hyang Sin Seol(春香新說)」 as well. Sixth, rabbit tale Presented in the work was transmitted in his hometown actively. Finally, he had already written two ether stories. Therefore, I claim that Mok Tae Lim is the only possible writer of 「Wasaokan」 since he only satisfied all the prerequisites as the writer of the story.
