텔레비전 드라마「여비서」에 묘사된 비서직 업무에 대한 내용분석 연구

국문 초록

DVD, CATV, HDTV 등 기술적 발달과 함께 텔레비전의 꽃이라는 드라마의 위상이 높아지고 있다. 그런 만큼 드라마는 불특정 다수의 시청자들에게 중독성을 유도하고 동일시(同一視)와 함께 역할 모델을 제시하면서 그에 맞는 역할행동을 습득케 하는 영향력을 가지고 있는 장르라 하겠다. 본 연구는 비서직과 관련한 드라마 분석으로는 국내외 최초의 연구로 연구목적은 텔레비전 드라마 여비서가 비서직을 어떻게 묘사했는가를 드라마의 업무내용 분석을 통해 알아보고자 했다. 또한 본 연구는 텔레비전 드라마에 묘사된 비서직을 분석하는데 그치지 않고 현대사회의 미디어에 반영된 비서직이 시대의 흐름과 병행하여 그 역할 및 이미지의 변화를 반영하고 제시하는가 혹은 역행하는가 까지를 도출해내고자 하였다. 전체적인 분석 결과는 드라마의 타이틀과 달리 비서직을 제대로 묘사해 주지 못했다. 그러나 세부업무로 들어 가서 볼 때 긍정적인 시각에서는 바람직한 묘사도 있었다. 특히 오유경의 비서로서의 자질면에서는 다른 비서들과 비교하여 직업윤리 의식이나 충성심, 성실성을 강조했고 비서는 차나 나르는 사람이라는 이미지를 없애기 위해 노력했다는 점이다. 반면 비서학적 측면에서 볼 때는 비서직에 대한 전문성이나 특수성을 살리지 못하고 일반 사무직 종사자들도 하고 있는 업무묘사를 함으로써 비서업무의 중요성을 부각시키지 못했다. 이제 뉴미디어와 함께 새롭게 탄생하게 될 코쿤(Cocoon)족들에게 드라마는 직업에 대한 환상과 기피라는 이중적 구조를 양산할 것이다. 따라서 드라마에 묘사되는 직업에 대한 편견과 왜곡을 바로 잡기 위해서라도 많은 연구가 필요하다고 본다.

영문 초록

TV stations are competing to send their dramas on the air, which raises the degree of drama called a flower of TV. It is an accepted fact that TV induces addiction and has an important influence by suggesting a role model. The purpose of the study is to analyze the job as personal secretary expressed in the program of 『Female Secretary』 broadcasting from February to May in the year of 2000. For that purpose, the following research targets are established. 1. What are the differences between secretaries in the program and actual secretaries? Does the drama really reflect reality? 2. How did the drama, as the first to deal with the job, describe the job as personal secretary? The methods are two, literature research and content analysis. The one deals with what influence the effect of image and media has on TV, and the other analyzes the content of the program using 12 videotapes. So we can guess the significance of TV and the influence of a job expressed in a TV program on the public. The results of this study are as follows. The drama 『Female Secretary』 describes everyday affairs in a workplace rather than the characteristics of the job as personal secretary. Therefore, the content of the drama 『Female Secretary』 is not in harmony with the title. But in detail there are desirable descriptions from the positive viewpoint. Oh Yoo Kyoung playing the part of a secretary focuses on her greater ethics, faith, and sincerity and shows that a secretary is not just an office girl to make coffee, while the drama does not show the technical nature and specialty of the job.
