영문 초록

"The Last Judgement Parable"(Matthew 25:31-46), a so-called a summary of the Gospel of Matthew, is an eschatological metaphor of Jesus, about the Kingdom of God. From a literary point of view, "The Last Judgement Parable"(Matthew 25:31-46) has strategically central position, at the ending part of the Gospel of Matthew. Therefore this study has theological significance, in exploring the strategic importance and christological significance of "The Last Judgement Parable" in the gospel of Matthew, through literary structural analysis. Literary structural analysis shows the parable as the Second Coming of Jesus, the subsequent strict separation of sheep and goats by Judgement, self-defense of good and bad people, and the explanation of the King. Also, it meets the completeness and fullness of the judgement, by showing the standard, content, and the result of the Judgement. Furthermore, the identity of Jesus was revealed, as the judge who separates sheep and goats, on the Day of Reckoning. Now the audience will be asked to accept the Gospel after reading and listening to this parable.
